Watermain and Service Connection Pipe Tracing
At LARSEN, we undertake pipe tracing of watermains, and service-pipe connection.This involves using electronic pipe and cable tracing equipment, including Radio Signal Induction and Ground Penetration Radar and PWG Acoustic detection to identify the position of the underground watermains. Where applicable the watermain pipework connectivity will be further confirmed by flow and pressure ‘step-testing’ and acoustic detection methods.
The pipe tracing findings from the survey are clearly marked on the ground, recorded by digital photographs and updated onto an existing hardcopy site layout maps. The data gathered during fieldwork can also be electronically recorded using GPS equipment and updated on to a digital Ordinance Survey maps.
