Flow Simulation Tests
We carry out Flow Simulation Testing on existing water distribution networks as part of a Planning Application by a Developer to construct new residential or commercial developments. The objective of a Flow Simulation Test (FST) is to assess the capacity of an existing water distribution network to supply an additional proposed development whilst maintaining an acceptable level of service at the critical points in the existing network. The level of service at the critical nodes is measured through pressure logging, whilst carrying out the FST at the times of peak demand.
We provide a detailed report of the results and findings, which can then be submitted by the developer to the local authority.
Clients include:
- Developers – as part of Planning Applications
- Consultant Engineers & Architects – as part of the Design and Planning Process
